Peter Torok, our deputy CEO and certified mozaWizard, was recently invited by Uchebnik Center ("Textbook" Center), Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to the international scientific-practical conference in Astana, Kazakhstan. This year’s conference was titled “Modern educational resources and the effectiveness of the educational system”, and took place over three days beginning June 28th. During his stay in this beautiful capital city, Peter presented the unique features, design and capabilities of mozaBook and offered some mozaWisdom in his presentation titled: “The 5 Pillars of Successful Educational Systems: The Essentials to Graduating Competitive Specialists.” Peter also held a master class titled: “The efficient application and use of digital education content and tools as an extra to the existing educational materials in the 21st century classroom.”
Pictured above are conference members, notably: Beybitkul Karimova (third from left), CEO of Uchebnik, Peter Torok (center), deputy CEO of Mozaik, and Duysebek Adilhan Telegenuli (center, right), deputy CEO of Uchebnik.
The purpose of this conference was to assess the role of educational technology in the overall educational environment. It was also a great opportunity to showcase new and developing educational solutions to the Kazakh people. Along with our partners at Interactiv Kazakhstan, Mozaik presented mozaBook as well as our companies’ educational philosophy and forecast for future educational environments.
From all of us at Mozaik Education, we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to our partners in Kazakhstan for their kindness and hospitality, and for helping Mozaik to shape the future of education. We look forward to hosting you in Hungary soon!
Mozaweb is now available in China! In January 2014, our Mozaik team attended the BETT expo in London England where we encountered a great producer of educational content in China, Yuanlai. This was the beginning of Mozaik’s presence in the world of Chinese education.

Wuhan Yuanlai Education Distribution Company Ltd. produces and distributes educational videos and other content, and even has their own educational television channel! For two years, we have enjoyed a great working relationship with Yuanlai and are proud to announce that mozaWeb is now available in China!

Mozaik Education has licensed the use of 12 of our books to be used by the children in China, including the complete “Secrets of our Environment” series. This is a printed book series which includes an activation code which can be entered on mozaWeb and the students are given complete access to the books in the form of online digital content, via our educational platform. In other words, the book is also made available to them, in its entirety, online. Since this time we have been proud to offer our printed books and mozaWeb to the people of China and salute our partners at Yuanlai for their dedication to excellence in education.
After almost two years of successful and mutually beneficial collaboration, there are plans to license new books in the near future and Mozaik’s books are also available now from a variety of bookstores, online distributors and retailers.
Academics' Choice Awards™ aims to help teachers and parents search for the best educational software, toys and books. Highly qualified academics, parents, homeschoolers and teachers evaluate the product on its ability to develop cognitive skills of students. The products are examined on their success of building higher order thinking skills, ability to engage students, positive influence on character building of the students etc. Only the true “mind-building” products can survive the rigorous scrutiny of the Academic’s Choice Awards team.
We feel honoured to receive this award and are very thankful for the positive feedback we received from the reviewers. One of the teachers on the committee said: “My students loved watching the 3D panoramic images and presentations on our whiteboard. I loved that they were actually paying attention! Not only can I assign homework and design new lessons using the powerful tools, mozaBook even has a built in browser so I can point students to more content that loads right in mozaBook! It's much more than a presentation software program, it's a make-me-look-good as a teacher program that's actually effective!”. It makes all the numerous people who put effort into creating mozaBook extremely happy to see that teachers love our software.
To see more quotes from the Academic’s Choice Awards committee about mozaBook or to check out the list of all the winners please visit the website of Academic’s Choice Awards.
If you haven’t tried mozaBook yet, you can download the free demo version here and build your own interactive lesson plans enriched with spectacular 3D and video content.
If you happen to follow our Facebook page, you may have noticed that our team has been on the move recently! Here's a little bit about the shows we've attended and what our International Business Development team has been up to.
It all started out at the very beginning of the year. In January we attended the BETT Show in London and met a lot of teachers and business owners from around the world. BETT is the largest show we attend annually, and visitors come from every continent to visit the show. Well, except maybe Antarctica!
We also attended the Didacta Education fair in Cologne, Germany this February. The five-day exhibition was followed by the GESS Education show (Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions) in Dubai in March. Besides attending the exhibitons we always do, we are visiting new ones as well. This year we added ISE Amsterdam to our list which is one of the world's largest AV equipment exhibition, and for the first time we exhibited at the Children's Book Fair in Bologna.
In the future we are planning to stay as busy as always! You can definitely meet us at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2016 and at the BETT Show in London in January 2017. We will surely have our own stand at the Didacta Show in Stuttgart, Germany in February 2017 but if the Middle East is closer to you see us at GESS Dubai in March next year.
To schedule a meeting and speak with our team about publishing and edtech solutions, email us at office@mozaweb.com or just pass by our stand and see our latest development in interactive education.
See you around (the world)!
Last week two of our partners met up in Nigeria!
Gimpex Learning Technologies has made an appearance in our blog before, so you may already know that our trusted partners in Egypt are experts at holding trainings and making presentations in English, German and Arabic to teachers and customers. But it might surprise you to learn that they’re world travelers, too...

Recently they attended the GESS show with us in Dubai, in order to make presentations to local businesspeople and educators in Arabic, and now they’ve just returned from a trip to Lagos to meet our partner in Nigeria, Crystal Learning. Gimpex held a training session for several Crystal Learning employees, as well as many teachers from Straitgate School who are preparing to use mozaBook for their classes for the rest of this year and next. Take a look at this table of teachers... looks like a productive session!
The training covered mozaBook, mozaWeb, and the tools, games and content accessible from both platforms, including an introduction of the mozaBook application for portable Android devices. The teachers are already using the program in preparations for their classes and today we received word that the students are really excited about the upcoming interactive lessons!

Visit the Mozaik Education LinkedIn page to hear about our upcoming B2B partner training sessions in Hungary. Contact us if you’re interested in scheduling a teacher training event for mozaBook near you.
We think our 3D scenes are already cool, but today we’d like to announce it to the world: our 3D models just got even more amazing!
Every one of the interactive scenes which include the Walk feature, available on mozaWeb, have entered the world of virtual reality. More than 60 3D scenes can now be used with a virtual reality headset through the new mozaWeb 3D viewer. Download the mozaWeb 3D viewer to your Android smartphone from Google Play. The iOS application is also available on the App Store.
See for yourself: open one of your favorite 3D models, open the Walk feature, denoted by the walking man icon. A small icon of VR glasses will appear. Just click on that and place the phone in your VR headset. Then have a walk around! Just look down towards your feet to start and stop the movement.
Don’t have a favorite model in mind? Here are a few of our team’s favorites. (Once you've downloaded the app, these links will automatically open the app) :
Medieval inhabited bridge (London Bridge, 16th century)
The city of Babylon (6th century BC)
Viking stave church (Borgund, 13th century)
Nikola Tesla's laboratory (Shoreham, US)
Any type of Virtual Reality headset will work - you don’t have to spend a lot of money for a fancy pair of glasses to walk around and explore a new world. Everyone in the business development department has tried it and with great response! We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.
We are developing this feature for every 3D scene that we have so stay tuned. Soon you’ll be able to use your VR headset for every type of animated model.
