Plants and Animals of the Palaeozoic
The appearance of the first land plants took place in the Paleozoic Era. They released large amounts of oxygen into the atmosphere, the climate became warm and damp and numerous species of animals and plants began to spread on land. The Palaeozoic was characterised by a very diverse fauna and flora.
